What is a Pedorthist?

A Pedorthist Custom Maker is an allied health professional who is specifically trained and educated in the design, fit and function of prefabricated, modified, and custom footwear, orthotics and foot devices, to prevent or alleviate foot problems caused by disease, congenital defect, overuse or injury.

Orthotic Therapy

Foot Orthoses (also known as foot orthotic devices) are specially designed shoe inserts that can be corrective to help support the feet, improve foot posture and correct any imbalances, or that can be accommodative to deflect and offload excessive plantar pressure points. Our foot orthotics can be designed to fit into prefabricated, modified, and custom footwear.

Footwear Modifications

Pedorthic footwear modifications are available for those who require corrective and accommodative features in their prefabricated footwear to address a large range of foot, ankle, and mobility issues.

Accepted Health Funds & Government Funding

Speak with our Pedorthist about whether you are eligible to access any State or National funding for our services.

You may be eligible to claim back on our custom footwear and orthotic devices with your health fund. Please check with your health fund regarding your individual cover and claim requirements.

NDIS registered provider

As an NDIS registered provider, we can provide our custom-made orthopaedic footwear and orthotic devices under the assistive technology program to agency-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed NDIS participants.
